A Little About UsWho we are: Just Christians, trying to recreate what Jesus established 20 centuries ago. If God was happy with that plan, we do not see any reason to “improve” it. What we do: Pray. Study the Bible together. Hear lessons from Scripture. Remember Christ’s death. Think. What we do not do: Embarrass. Intimidate. Demand money. Ignore strangers. Insult your intelligence. |

It is logical, complete, and understandable to all who make the effort. The church it describes is simply an assembly of Christians: a congregation uncomplicated by creeds, boards, or social clubs—and one independent from governing bodies. It speaks with the power of God. It speaks with the love of Christ. It speaks with the words of the Holy Spirit, to every nation of every time. It speaks to all who desire to have power over the worry, stress and fear in their lives. It speaks of obtaining that power through the forgiveness of sin that Jesus offers. It speaks of the power for obtaining eternal life—an everlasting existence with God. It speaks…to you. What Should You Expect When You Visit? What not to expect: Do not expect to be embarrassed or made to feel out of place. You will be treated with courtesy and respect. Do not expect us to ask for money. The church is supported entirely by its own members. Do not expect to be entertained by bands, shows, etc., nor do we serve refreshments. Instead you will find devout worshippers with open Bibles and deep reverence for God’s truth. What to expect: Expect the assembly to be unpretentious, but heartfelt. We strive to love God and his Son, Jesus Christ, and in everything we do to be governed by the Bible alone. You will find us signing spiritual songs, praying often, taking the Lord’s Supper on Sundays, teaching God’s Word, and giving to the Lord. Expect congregational singing. You will not find a choir. Instead you will find us all lifting our voices in praise to God. You will discover that whether we are singing the old hymns or the newer ones, we do so with an enthusiasm born of thankfulness to God for his grace and mercy. Expect to find Christians here. Not this or that kind of Christians, but simply Christians. Our allegiance is to Jesus Christ as God’s Son and we feel no need for any denominational ties. Expect to find a friendly spirit and a warm atmosphere. We know that God loves you and we are trying to be like Him. Now you know what to expect. May we expect to see you soon? May God bless you! |
